CHEMICAL PEEL TREATMENTS

A chemical peel is a treatment that is used for skin appearance improvement. It can also be called derma-peeling or chemexfoliation. It is a safe and effective treatment that is becoming more and more popular.

Chemical peels can be light, medium and deep, depending on their strength. This aesthetic procedure can improve hyperpigmentation, sun-damaged skin, wrinkles and other skin blemishes by peeling off the top layer of the skin.

During the treatment, a suitable chemical solution is applied to the patient’s skin and the top layer gets gradually peeled off. The skin heals after the procedure and becomes much smoother and more radiant.

With light and medium peels, the patient might need more than one treatment session to get the best results. A light chemical peel can improve skin tone and texture and reduce fine lines. Medium chemical peel achieves a smoother skin texture.

In the case of deep chemical peels, the results are more dramatic, but the recovery period is longer.

Since chemical peels are skin-resurfacing treatments the depth is chosen according to the skin issues that need to be addressed.

After a chemical peel, the new healthy skin is sensitive to the sun so it is important to appropriately protect it.

COSMELAN BY MESOESTETIC®

Cosmelan depigmentation peel is an advanced procedure that involves a two-phase method for eliminating dark spots caused by melanin overproduction.

This chemical peel is one of the most successful treatments for skin lightening. It consists of chemical elements that eliminate the areas of hyperpigmentation. It can address different kinds of pigmentation including post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, sun and age spots, freckles and melasma. The biggest advantage of this treatment is that it reduces the surface pigment at its source.

THE COSMELAN PEEL TREATMENT

Prior to the treatment, the patient’s face is thoroughly cleaned with the oil-removal solution. Next, the skin therapist applies Cosmelan I mask to the patient’s face. Depending on the severity of pigmentation issues, the patient needs to keep the mask on the face for 8 to 12hours – the therapist recommends the correct amount of time before the patient can remove the mask at home.  

The patient is provided with the after-care home kit with detailed instructions.

AFTER-CARE TREATMENT PROTOCOL

Once the appropriate amount of time has passed, the patient removes the mask just with water.

Next day the patient starts with the prescribed moisturizer three times per day.

From the second week moisturizer is applied twice during the day, and at night the patient applies Cosmelan II cream. Sunscreen should be applied daily from the first day.

Cosmelan II cream should be used continuously at night, and SPF daily.

The patient’s skin can get dry when he/she starts applying Cosmelan II cream. It is recommended to alternate Cosmelan II with moisturizer until skin gets used to. This will reduce the sensitivities.

It is recommended to strictly follow the post-care protocol and not to break the cycle. This way the patient can expect the best results.  

The Cosmelan peel is suitable for all skin tones and can be used at any time of the year. It achieves long-lasting results that include reduction of skin blemishes and brighter and more even skin complexion.

DERMAMELAN BY MESOESTETIC®

Dermamelan® is a chemical peel that successfully treats hormonally caused pigmentation like lentigo or melasma. Additionally, it improves uneven skin tone, freckles and sun-damaged skin. It can reduce the pore size, regulate oil secretion and prevent inflammations.  On the whole, it returns the skin’s natural radiance and brightness.

The treatment is safe and suitable for all skin tones.

It is performed in two phases:  

• Phase one involves applying the mask to the patient’s skin by a skin therapist. The patient remains in the clinic for 20 minutes until the mask has completely settled. Then a special after-care home kit is provided to the patient.
• Phase two involves keeping the mask on the face for 8 to12 hours and then removing it with water. Two days after the treatment the skin starts to peel off. When the patient’s skin stops peeling, he/she starts using the Dermamelan® after-care cream. The instructions on how to use it are given by the skin therapist. The patient uses the home-care cream for 3 to 6 months, and it is important to be consistent in this in order to achieve the best results.

The results of Dermamelan peel greatly depend on the strength of the peel and the severity of pigmentation issues. In the first month, the patient may notice up to 80% of skin tone improvement.

PCA SENSI PEEL

This chemical peel is beneficial for all skin types, including very sensitive skin. It is a gentle solution that can be used for ethnic skin also.

It targets acne breakouts and pigmentation caused by sun exposure. It brings a more even and brighter skin tone with its formula of plant ingredients and AHAs. It is considered the best starter peel. It firms the skin and eliminates hyperpigmentation. It is also beneficial in treating rosacea and inflammations because it has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory features.

BEFORE THE TREATMENT

5 to 7 days prior to this chemical peel, the patient should avoid the following activities:

• Using irritants to the skin
• Waxing, using depilatory creams or tweezing
• Tanning
• Using other skincare products
• Using dermal fillers or Botox

AFTER THE TREATMENT

It is important to follow the pre and post-treatment protocol to achieve the best results.

Day 1 – the patient’s skin will look slightly red but it will settle during that first day.

Day 2 – the patient should start with a post-care home kit. The instructions will be provided by the skin therapist. The patient’s skin will still be mildly tight because the top layer of the skin is starting to flake first between the eyes and around the nose and the mouth. Sun-damaged spots might become darker before they start to peel. The patient must never peel the skin.

Day 3 – the patient’s skin will peel, flake and continue to feel tight. The patient can start using the hydrating cream. It is essential that the patient avoids sun exposure and uses high SPF.  

Day 4 – most of the peeling is done during the third and fourth days. The patient should continue with the after-care cleansing and moisturizing.

Day 7 – the skin might be sensitive for a couple of days. The patient should continue with the after-care protocol. Also, sun exposure should be avoided for 2 weeks minimum.

PEEL DOWNTIME

It is advisable to avoid social gatherings for two or three days during the recovery period.

PCA ULTRA PEEL

This chemical peel is specifically designed to address aging skin – it reduces fine lines and wrinkles.  It can be also effective in treating other skin issues like uneven skin tone or dull skin complexion. It hydrates the skin, treats hyperpigmentation, acne and sun-damaged skin.

It can be applied in mild to moderate layers and the result is plumper, more radiant and better-hydrated skin.

DERMACEUTIC® MILK PEEL

This chemical peel is superficial and can treat fine lines, improve oily skin, reduce spots and lighten the skin.

BEFORE THE TREATMENT

The patient should use Dermaceutic Serum 25twice a day for the weeks. This way the results of the peel will be boosted and it will reveal the skin areas that are sensitive to glycolic acid.

DURING THE TREATMENT

The patient’s skin is cleaned with Dermaceutic Cleanser 5 and then washed with water. After that, the skin therapist applies2ml of Milk Peel over the patient’s face and left for no more than 2 minutes. Then the peel is washed with water.

AFTER THE TREATMENT

The patient must avoid direct sunlight and apply a high SPF. Should irritation or redness appear, the patient can use repair creams. After the first day, the patient should continue to apply Serum25.

For the best results, it is recommended to get 3 to 4 treatment sessions every 2 weeks.

DERMAWORLD® MELADEEP MASK

Meladeep chemical peel mask is a groundbreaking treatment that eliminates melanin hyperpigmentation and makes the skin rejuvenated. It is a professional treatment that can help both women and men. DOWNTIME AND RESULTS

After the skin therapist removes the mask the patient might experience redness and irritation which stop after a couple of hours.

Some patients see the results right after the first treatment session, while others may need a few more.

Once the skin settles, it is smoother and fresher. Pigmentation is minimized after a couple of days and wrinkles and fine lines are reduced. The treatment improves the general appearance of the skin and makes it look rejuvenated and healthy.

SKIN TECH EASY TCA CLASSIC PEEL

This chemical peel is a safe and effective treatment that is easy to perform. It is a superficial peel that doesn’t require downtime and can be done on any skin type.

The classic kit consists of 12 or 24 facial treatments.
